Home Sweet Home

Unusual for me to do a post on homes and decor I know. However, my best friend Trisha's parents just moved from the house she (and I) literally grew up in to a new house just down the street. It's most surreal to wake up in a new house with all your furniture and belongings neatly placed, but the house itself not feeling like your own.

It's the years of work and love that go into our most intimate spaces. Everything from the colour choices right down to the pictures in our frames make the spaces we know and love uniquely ours and ours alone. I suppose with time and love, this very foreign land will soon take the shape of not just a house, but a home for her once more.

These pictures are just some day dreams of my future Chateau to be! Ohhh to dream, and push ourselves one step closer to our own little piece of Joie de vivre!

I will admit, I have yet to see the movie. But after Emil showed up at Halloween in a handmade costume of the little boy, I MUST see it and know I will fall in love.

I love when Fashion mixes itself with other artistic genres. When the lines blur, that's when the good stuff begins.

We watched this movie on the way to Ohio, and I literally laughed so hard I cried. The guy and the baby is what kills me(thus the pic). It's just too much, I couldn't take it.

I say, I literally pray I look like this after two children, a head shaving incident (which I will NOT be doing but..) and K fed(again would neverrrr want to "do" in both senses of the word).

Change is the New Constant

Oh inspiration that comes from pictures. It's just the greatest.

It's funny how quickly trends can change. Almost as quickly as an update on twitter or fb these days. Which is why images that are uploaded from our phones, and just about any form of camera, are what serve to inspire us. Personally, I will always be a magazine devotee. However, with the face of fashion changing so quickly these days, it's hard not to grasp at what is right in front of you. The internet. But is this such a bad thing? Real bodies, real sizes and real clothes (mixtures of new, vintage, couture and brands like h&m and Zara) a creative mind can run wild. And, and possibly more importantly, encourage others to do so.

How many good people, i mean really good people do we meet in our lives? It's interesting, because there are so many souls we come in contact with daily, but you know those people who are not just good people, but really amazing souls? Those are the people we need to be thankful for. Don't get me wrong, it's great to be thankful for everyone, even the people who haven't touched our lives the way we wished they would, because ultimately something else on our journey has come from it. But none the less... Don't forget to be thankful for the incredible people you meet. And hopefully they won't forget about meeting you either...*
